Green-lid bins recycling collection service resumes

The City of Cape Town’s Solid Waste Management Department would like to inform residents that the Think Twice recycling collection service for households with a green-lid bin will resume from Monday, 12 July 2021.
Thank you to residents for your patience while the Think Twice service was temporarily suspended. The contracts have been finalised and the normal service schedule will resume from Monday, 12 July.
While the service was temporarily suspended, residents were requested to either stockpile recycling, or transport it to drop-off sites. The City also appreciates those residents who have gone to this extra effort.
Residents in the affected areas are reminded that the following facilities are available for drop off in the event that recycling material is not placed outside for collection. Waste such as garden greens, e-waste, garage waste, builders rubble and polystyrene can also be disposed here safely and legally.

Kraaifontein Integrated Waste Management Facility
